Open Fridays from 9 AM – 4 PM

This program remains an important part of our annual funding – by bringing your electronics to us, you’re directly supporting those in need in our community! Please understand that if you show up with electronics outside of normally scheduled hours, we will not be able to accept them.

Did You Know?

The law bans the landfilling and incineration of many electronics and they must be recycled? (Click here to learn more from the WI DNR)  That’s why the Good News Project’s e-CYCLING program is here: To help our planet, to keep our environment clean, and to help you get rid of your electronic junk!

What is “E-Cycle Wisconsin?”

Wisconsin’s electronics recycling law establishes a statewide recycling program administered by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).  Good News Project is a registered collector of the program, called E-Cycle Wisconsin, which has special requirements for collectors and recyclers to ensure that electronics are handled and recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.

What can I Recycle?

For a complete list of items we accept, click here.

All items brought to us for recycling undergo initial preparations before being sent to our end recycling partner’s material recover facility, right here in Wisconsin. There, their materials are processed in accordance to R2 and ISO 14001 standards. When those processes are complete, our end recycling partner provides us with documentation certifying the complete and confidential destruction of data storing devices and other sensitive equipment.

In 2023, we were able to recycle 254,984 pounds of e-waste, which utilized 1248 hours of volunteer time!  All revenue generated from our recycling service goes directly into our programs and help people in need.
