The Health Equipment Lending Program depends on your donations of durable medical equipment
We have been blessed with many donations of durable medical equipment pieces. Since the demand fluctuates on a weekly basis, the items that we can accept on any given day changes, too. Please call our office if you have items to donate and we can let you know if we are open to accepting them right now. And, thank you for thinking of us.
Some of the items that we are currently looking for are: Overbed tables, standard bed handles, shower chair with raised arms, hoyer lifts, sit to stands, standers, pedalers, transfer boards, and cold therapy.
Bariatric equipment, heavy duty pieces of home medical equipment designed for those people who weigh 300 pounds or more, is always a need. Bariatric wheelchairs, shower/bathtub chairs, walkers and rollators are items we can always use.
Why Donate?
The goal of the Health Equipment Lending Program is to be the conduit between those who donate medical equipment, and those who need it. All donated items are tax deductible. A receipt for your donation is available upon request.
Items that we do not accept:
Basic medical supplies (oxygen tubing, surgical pads, wound care, at-home care disposables) • First aid items (bandages, tape, ointments, etc.) • CPAP and BiPAP machines • Leg braces, boots, arm or wrist braces, back braces, prosthetics. • Non-medical therapy (treadmill, exercise bikes, etc.)
Surplus of donated medical items are shipped overseas and shared with those less fortunate in developing countries.
