You think it’s hard to SELL a house?
We can’t GIVE ours away!

Good News Project has been building and giving away houses in the West Indies for 26 years – nearly 300 of them over the years.  But, this year, we are worried about our ability to build the 15 houses that we usually do with our volunteer teams in January and February, 2010.  We have the volunteer teams ready to go.  Our Coordinating teams in St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Dominica and Grenada are reviewing applications from dozens of individuals and families needing shelter.  However, we have told the Coordinators not to promise houses to them until we know we can follow through.  That depends on finding sponsors for about 10 houses, at $3500 each.

Welcome to the Good News Project!

You are invited to become part of the Good News family... join one of our volunteer groups in the West Indies,  help us provide services in the Wausau area,  sing or help prepare and serve the Dinner Theatre here in Wausau, help with the shipping program,  bring your old electronic equipment in to be recycled or make a donation to help us carry on our many activities!

Your participation and support will make a difference in the lives of many people in the West Indies, in the Wausau area - and in your own life, too!

There's still room for YOU in a 2010 Volunteer Team!!!

Our 2009 volunteer teams have returned from the West Indies.  Volunteers built homes on each island, and worked in schools, village health clinics, nursing homes, child care facilities and other places where their talents made a difference.   Pictures from the 2009 trips are now available in the Photo Galleries !

Consider joining one of our teams in 2010 - application forms are available under "Information for Volunteers".  Call or e-mail if you have questions.  A Good News Project trip is a wonderful opportunity to serve personally

Act soon, because our teams are filling up fast!
